"大嫌い”　is a noun. "大嫌いな”　is an adjective. ex."なっとうは、きらいか　すきかで　いったら　どっち？” ”なっとうは　大嫌いな　たべもの　だ。

First of all, no one is dropping the な. 大嫌 = women's speak for 大嫌だ. The women drop the だ.
