ı thınk we must thınk how we learnt our native language from chılhood to now. fırstly we watched to people who was around us and we lıstened to people and theır dıologes. and we started to talk and repeated theır words always. as we added new word our knowledge,we could speak easıer than before. so you must lısten more englısh dıologıes,movıes,songs, news. and you wıll catch the meanıng of the sentences endlesly.

Here's a creative solution. I would find a piece of written piece of dialogue or article in english. Translate it in Chinese. Then have someone read it in native english. Follow along and see how much you can understand. If you go to rhinospike: http://rhinospike.com/. I think its free. Native english speakers will read dialogue for you. This way you can listen to different types of accents. It also will give you two different ways to learning. Otherwise, I agree with what other people said. Listen to a variety of sources.

Listen to a few other things. Start from what you do recognise, and try to fill in the gaps as you listen to new audio. A lot of listening skill comes from recognition.

- Listen to different materials in English , such as : Music with subtitle , radio and audio English lessons - Watch Tv shows and Movies or anything you like with subtitle ( it is better with subtitle , you can listen and read what are you listening too ) - also to understand what you are listening , you need too study new vocabularies ^^ Good Luck ^^

The best thing is always to speak with someone in English. But you can just listen to music, and pay attention to the lyrics, try to understand them each time you listen to a song in English. And then watch movies, and TV series in English - with subtitles if you cannot understand it, or without subtitles - one good way is also to watch a movie that you already know, without the subtitles. I believe it's much more useful than listening to English tapes, and you'll have more fun ;)
