Question about the word "tube" I know "tube" in British English means underground(BrE)/subway(AmE) , when I looked it up in the dictionary, I found it only refers to the underground railway system in London. Does it mean I can not say "tube" in BrE for any undergrounds other than in London? Thank you so much

"other than those in London". Yep, that's right. No worries :)

The tube not 'a' tube. I use it most days. Strictly, it only refers to the deep tunnels of the Northern, Bakerloo, Victoria, Piccadilly, Jubilee and Central lines. which are like tubes.

Yes, calling it a tube is unique to London. In the US, it's usually called a subway. But in most other places around the globe, it's usually called a metro.
