輔導教師Hi everyone!
I've seen recently the term 'niblings' instead of nephews and nieces. I have looked it up in the dictionary but it doesn't exist. Is this word generally used? It is more politically correct?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard of it but maybe it is a mix between nephews, nieces and siblings. Like if your older sister or brother have kids that are a similar age to you. 🤷♀️

Never heard of it! Though why not, it makes sense. Although it might make it sound as if someone is nibbling on something (nibble, nibbling).

Nibling is a gender-neutral term used to refer to a child of one's sibling as a replacement for "niece" or "nephew".

Hi, Elena!
Well, it just seems to be a brand-new word in English.
