A new fish restaurant.
Today my friends and I went to a new fish restaurant in our city called “Klyovo”. This place (you could say 'this establishment' or 'eatery' - a plaice with the letter 'i' which is pronounced in the same way is a type of fish, so given the subject this is the first thing I thought of!) is a chain restaurant and it carries the name of the famous Russian restaurateur Arkadiy Novikov.
Even though its name is big/even though it has a good reputation and has to provide a high standard and quality of food, service and atmosphere, it wasn’t so good.
The food was good enough, but a bit too heavy (e.g. their salads contained too much mayonnaise).
The atmosphere isn’t bad, but it was noisy overall and the music was too loud, thus it was difficult to talk.
The service wasn’t good either, we had to wait to put in an order or for staff to get rid of the used utensils.
So, I guess for this place the name of the famous restaurateur is more of a brand thing with probably poor oversight and in the end the experience didn’t match expectations.
Thank you!
