Hi, there Let’s say you are haggling over a pair of headphones that go for 100 dollars and you wanted to get them for 85. Could you say “Can’t you knock it/them down to 85?” or “Couldn’t you get it/them down to 85” or “Couldn’t I get them for 85?” or Couldn’t you make it 85?” or “Couldn’t you do it for 85”? Which of these work? Thank you

I’d naturally say ‘can you make it 85’ :)

I think all of these work perfectly fine, but “couldn’t you knock them down to 85” is probably the most common for this situation.
