While always interested in Russian literature and history, I didn’t start studying the Russian language until after I retired. After several years of self-study, I enrolled in Russian language classes at one of our local universities. It was there that two of my classmates recommended Lyudmyla as someone who had helped them break through that inevitable language learning plateau. I’m grateful for their recommendation. Lyudmyla is an ideal teacher. Her lessons are always challenging but never overwhelming. The preparatory texts and materials she provides are tailored not only to the lesson’s learning objectives, but also to subjects I’ve expressed a personal interest in. Lyudmyla is always patient, cheerful and supportive of my (often clumsy) efforts. At lesson’s end, I always feel I’ve made progress. I highly recommend Lyudmyla to learners at any level, from beginners to advanced.
