Greetings! I am Teacher Amy. I have conducted more than 11,000 classes for almost 10 years. My main experience has been in teaching children. I feel that my class is lively and interactive. I incorporate many tools to provide a rich learning environment. My lessons are curriculum based to encourage conversations. With timid students, I tend to speak in a gentle tone to help encourage the student to speak. I also work well with lively students by keeping class fun and full of energy. Parents say that I am engaging and detail oriented. Some of my students have studied with me for years, and I appreciate the relationships that have developed.
Teaching English as a second language has been a dream of mine. My main experience has been in teaching children, but I have a few adult students as well. I have worked professionally with special needs students including reading instruction. I also have experience in writing methods for essays as well as editing experience. I edited a professional psychology book in the past and helped a student publish a book which is now featured on Amazon for sale.

120 Hour TEFL Certificate - International Open Academy - 2022I completed 120 hours of certification for teaching English as a Second Language. The course included an introduction to basic pedagogy, classroom management skills training, and an introduction to English grammar and vocabulary. I was also taught skills in teaching reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I practiced developing learning objectives and lesson planning. I believe that this certification as well as my over 7,000 classes taught in 5 years should qualify me as a professional.
