Hi there. Kumusta? It's Victoria, the tutor that you're looking for. I've been teaching the Filipino language to grade school students, and I've been a language buddy to foreign college students in our university too.
I am a fourth year college student taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino in one of the premier educational institutions in the Philippines.

As a teacher, I am:
1. UNDERSTANDING
Learning a new language is a hard skill, that is why I am very understanding. I believe that students should learn according to their own pace. They should not be forced to understand a certain lesson quickly, but master a specific lesson before going to the next.
2. WELL PREPARED
I have curriculum prepared to be followed in each lesson tailored to your specific needs and learning goals.
3. HIGHLY ENGAGING

Before I discuss a lesson, I assess first my students' knowledge about the Filipino language to know if they are a beginner, intermediate, advanced, and proficient. That way, I get to know what lesson would be best to teach them.
Furthermore, I believe that besides of learning the rules and technicalities of the Filipino language, the best way to learn it is to fully immerse yourself in the Filipino culture. Because, language is a big part of culture. Because of this, my lessons will get you in touch with the culture through conversation-based lessons, allowing you to learn exactly how the language is spoken by it's native speakers.我的教材

Student Teacher InternI was deployed as a student teacher in a public school for four months, from October 2023 to January 2024. During this time, I taught the Filipino subject to Grade 8 level to five sections with around 50 students in each section.

Vicky is honestly my favorite language teacher I’ve ever had 🧡 I can definitely feel how much effort she puts into our classes and she is very present while I share stories. I also appreciate how many examples she gives me for new grammar/vocab so that I fully understand. In the short amount of time I’ve been taking classes with Vicky, I’ve already noticed so much progress in my Tagalog! ✨

I have attended 4 lessons so far and have found each one to be extremely helpful for the development of my Filipino. Guro Vicky was able to pinpoint my Tagalog language level accurately from the beginning which was important for me since I had self-studied Tagalog previously. Her materials are creative, interactive, and tailored to my needs. She provides many example sentences for each word or topic we cover which helps me use new words with confidence. Lastly, Guro Vicky is a lovely person to talk to, keeps the conversation going, and gets me practicing my Tagalog. Our lessons are always fun :D Salamat Vicky!!!
