Hi there! My name is Desiree, I'm 24 years old, and I'm from South Africa. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and I'm on iTalki because I love teaching English to others! I enjoy learning about different people and their cultures. I am an open-minded individual who likes having conversations about different topics. As a tutor, I prioritize conducting lessons that not only aim to educate but also to get my students comfortable and confident in their speech. Becoming fluent is the goal! Learning a new language can be difficult, and I take this into consideration with every lesson. Hence, I focus on being a good listener who is patient, understanding, and kind. I believe in positive encouragement to help the student along their journey, while also ensuring that they become aware of their errors. I put my students' needs at the forefront of my work, regardless of whether or not the student's needs change along the way.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lesson and teaching style includes guided grammar and conversational lessons. I strongly believe that we learn best when we can be comfortable with making mistakes, which is why I encourage my students to speak freely without reservation. I love to try out new and fun ways of teaching while ensuring that my students learn as much as possible. I conduct most of my lessons through presentation slides that include: quizzes, articles, and engaging imagery. However, I keep an open mind to accommodate the student's learning style if and when necessary.我的教材
