Hey, my name’s Makalah. I am an extrovert with a strong curiosity about the world around me. I have a deep love for adventure and exploration, which has led me to backpack over 30 countries and experience many different cultures along the way. I currently live in California, and my husband is from Kazakhstan, which has brought even more cultural connection and perspective into my life. I’m a certified life coach and have also supported clients in business coaching, which has deepened my passion for mindset, personal growth, and developing the whole person. My long-term vision is to open a healing center and continue expanding this path of growth and helping others. See you in class!我的教學經歷
I have 10 years of teaching experience that began in American classrooms, working with both native and non-native English speakers. I then moved abroad to teach in my own classroom in New Zealand and then in Thailand as an ESL teacher. Following that I started my own online English teaching business as I traveled the world. Alongside that, I developed a coaching practice for professionals working toward their goals personally and professionally. I love helping children with English and assisting professionals in achieving their dreams. I bring an adaptable and intuitive approach to my teaching, allowing me to meet you where you are and support your growth effectively. I actively listen, correct pronunciation, and fill in vocabulary gaps. I balance structured and flexible lessons, using content based on your field, goals, or interests. For Business English, I provide either level-based materials or real-life, day-to-day scenarios—focusing on terminology, client conversations, interviews, and small talk, so you can confidently use English in your work.For General English, I use books based on your level along with platforms for targeted grammar and real-life conversational practice to build overall fluency.我的教材

Head TeacherI offered personalized lessons with an emphasis in phonetics to help enforce a more solid foundation for my students. I worked closely with students around the age of 2-6. I gained much experience and expertise in child development and over all holistic growth.
2019 - 2020
Head English TeacherI worked in a Private school running my own English classes for student around the age of 2 to 18 years old. I created a curriculum and lessons for each of my classes. There I was able to expand my teacher skills and adapt more easily to my students needs and levels.
2018 - 2021
English TutorI have created lessons based beginner business and how to run proper office meetings. As well as business courses, I have taught IELTS preparation lessons and travel conversation. I am comfortable teaching and altering my lessons based on my student's needs and level proficiency. I am a patient educator that takes pride in my students results and goals. As a teacher it is important for my students to know that they are all more than capable to reach and surpass their goals.
