Hey! My name is Lygia, and I teach personalized one-on-one language lessons. Though I teach general courses, my specialization is LSP (Language for Specific Purposes)
This means I create tailored courses for those who have a specific focus in mind! Whether it's advancing from a level where you feel stuck, preparing for an interview, migrating, regaining fluency when you feel you've forgotten a lot, using the language at work, chatting with in-laws, traveling, understanding your favorite songs and books—anything!
For some students, this means we will study only a handful of topics. For others, it means learning the whole language from where you are, but focusing more on certain topics.我的教學經歷
I tailor my methods to each student but with most of my students, I dedicate a great part of the lesson to his/her output. I like to learn about my students' interests and connect my lessons to them, helping students use the vocabulary and grammar they learned the way they will use it in real life! 我的課程內容與教學風格
I teach students of all levels in Portuguese, and intermediate-level students and above in English.
I've lived and worked (both online and in person) in various countries, such as Guatemala, Mexico, the United States, Brazil, Turkey, Hungary, and Sri Lanka. I'm very curious and enjoy hearing people talk about what they're passionate about, so whatever your interests are, we'll talk about them in our course :) Hope to see you soon!我的教材

I've thoroughly enjoy my lessons with Lygia. I had started conversation classes with her before my trip to Brazil. It was a great investment, that made me feel like I got to understand the country and people more than the average tourist with zero Portuguese knowledge.
