Полина (Polina)

Polina is an excellent teacher. I am so impressed with how thoughtfully she plans each lesson, assigns homework, and responds to my thoughts and ideas. She is extremely patient. Learning Russian grammar can sometimes feel especially overwhelming, but she knows how to make difficult topics more understandable, and persists in teaching until you understand. It has been an excellent experience to build my foundation in Russian with our lessons. I always look forward to our weekly classes! If you are looking for a way to accelerate your understand of Russian, I cannot recommend her enough.

I've been taking lessons with Polina for months now and she's fantastic. I came in with a strange and difficult to determine speaking level in Russian, but she was willing to work with me anyway and I have gotten so much better in such a short period of time! I was barely conversational, now I am confident that I can convey my meaning in most topics we discuss. She explains grammar very well, makes learning enjoyable and memorable, and she is incredibly responsive to me as a student. If she hears me making a specific grammar mistake, that becomes the focus of our next lesson. That is a super special thing in a teacher. I think Polina is awesome and I would- and have- recommended her to other people :)

Polina is friendly, patient, professional and great at explaining lessons. She creates lessons that are well structured to help learn the topic efficiently, and throughout the lesson there are interesting questions and exercises to reinforce the topic. I appreciate the effort she puts into making these lessons, especially the pictures and artwork on the slides. I highly recommend this teacher, and my Russian has improved significantly because of her classes.
