I really liked his trial lesson. He was very involved and let me speak and then corrected me afterwards. It felt naturally to try and speak with him even if my vietnamese was broken.

Had a great lesson. I felt comfortable conversing with Tommy because I didn’t feel judged or pressured to perform. I liked the topics and the way we chose them. I didn’t realize how much I was struggling with the language until I had to actually explain to someone with whole sentences. That was a good exercise.

First got an idea of what I knew and where I was trying to go with my learning, then went over the basics (I'm a beginner) and we did some simple sentences, pronunciation practice, and how to prepare for the next lesson (learning new vocabulary for more speaking practice). The lesson was very friendly, comfortable, and well paced. I felt like I got a lot out of my time and I'm excited to schedule again!
