I draw upon a diverse range of professional and academic backgrounds including in languages, international development, political science, international relations, compliance and corruption studies, security and agriculture.
It doesn’t matter what your background is or your personal reason for learning a language, whether it is a professional or business interest, political or diplomatic, or just a personal interest or ambition.

Learning a language means embracing it and making it your own. Experts and research into second language acquisition tell us that we can only learn languages through meaningful use, not memorisation and repetition!
My lessons focus much more on real communication. Languages are made for talking so I place conversation at the heart of my lessons. Over time you will build up your confidence and achieve fluency and proficiency in English.
I can also provide Interview Preparation, offering both general advice and practice with a range of questions, from the basic and general, to role or industry specific questions and behavioural questions which test your soft skills.我的教材

學士學位 - International StudiesMy degree covered a broad range of modules, including two language modules. 'Worlds of English' which looked at the development of English in its historical and modern international contexts, and the future of the language as a medium of global communication. I also completed a module in advanced Spanish.

碩士 - Corruption and GovernanceAn interdisciplinary approach to the study of corruption and anti-corruption focusing on the fundamental questions: what is corruption, what causes it and what should be done to combat it.

2006 - 2008
English TeacherI worked teaching English as a Foreign Language at the Tarapoto campus of a private university in Peru. I taught undergraduate students and adult learners from elementary to lower intermediate level English. I accumulated approximately 700 hours in the classroom teaching groups of between 15 and 30 students. I also prepared and taught two workshops – as part of the ‘Regional Conference on English’ organised by the university in 2007.
