I handled both group classes and individual lessons for students ranging from complete beginners to intermediate learners. In face-to-face lessons, I taught to introduce Japanese culture in each session, offering experiences beyond language learning, such as soroban, making personal hanko, card games, hanafuda, and peace education.

I have been doing lesson with Kiko Sensei for 3 months now, 4 times a week. She is very thoughtful and caring and tailored the class to my needs. She was very accommodating and extremely patient even with a slow learner like me! I highly recommend her as a teacher because you will learn so much from her and she will be very thoughtful and caring with you!

Kiko Sensei prepared a terrific lesson for me. First we conversed for a good amount of time. We then went over a series of words for her to gauge where my level of understanding was. She had prepared a lesson with powerpoint slides to work on a very specific grammatical point, which I had never learned. It was fascinating, and I'm looking forward to our next lesson.

I am really enjoying my lessons with Kiko-san! I really feel like my conversational skills are improving. Kiko-san is diligent in gently correcting me when I get things wrong so that I can fix my mistakes, and we never seem to run out of things to talk about, which makes the lessons really fun.

I had a wonderful conversation lesson with Kiko Sensei. Before the lesson I suggested the topic to study (restaurant words/dialogues), but I was a little worried within myself that we would run out of things to say, given the lesson was for 1hr, and I have only learnt Japanese for 3.5 months. Kiko sensei came in to the lesson prepared with slides with relevant words/phrases, and guide me towards talking about them through useful prompts. She was very patient when waiting for me to think of words to say before I speak. I felt I was able to practice my speaking abilities. All in all, a very good lesson! ありがとございます。

I have really enjoyed the lessons I've had with Kiko-sensei. We have conversations at a level where I mostly understand, while pushing my abilities and allowing me to learn a lot. If I don't know how to say something, she has the patience to let me try to work it out, while helping me when I need it. If I use words or grammar incorrectly, she always offers a very gentle correction that lets me learn without feeling bad about having made a mistake. The conversations themselves are fun and the hour flies by every time! I'm looking forward to many more lessons.
