My name is Gemma, I'm 28 years old and originally from the UK. I spent many years in school in Italy as a child, and I now live permanently in Tuscany (I also speak Italian, so I understand what it's like to learn another language). I teach English part-time, and otherwise I work as a therapy practitioner. Some of my hobbies include cooking, baking, swimming, running, film and yoga.我的教學經歷

I am truly passionate about being a teacher and I have taught in various contexts for over six years. There is nothing that brings me greater joy than seeing my students excel in their classes and use the target language. I also work as a therapy practitioner, so I love to connect with people and my passion lies in supporting others. I consider myself to be a friendly and interactive teacher - my mission is to help you learn in the best way that I can!我的課程內容與教學風格
Conversational lessons are informal. I teach students who want to focus on their oral fluency with a native English speaker. Language feedback and correction is always given, but it is much more relaxed.

CELTA - International House - 2021I completed a five-week intensive CELTA course ran by International House tutors. It included a total of 8 hours teaching classes of 2 to 10 students, 4 final written assignments and a 100% attendance rate.

TutorI have been teaching on a website called Preply to gain some experience teaching students. I have had good reviews and my students comment that they enjoy my lessons.
2012 - 2014
TutorAfter graduating from high school in Bali, I began paid tutoring for younger learners (10-13 years old) in subjects such as mathematics and english. Their parents hired me as a tutor to help their children to prepare for their IGCSEs and GCSEs.
2014 - 2016
Scuba InstrcutorI moved to Gili Air and I worked initially as a Scuba Dive Master, then trained to professionally become a Scuba Dive Instructor. I spent a year teaching students of various level and certifying them in Open Water, Advanced and Dive Rescue courses. I left this position as I incurred permanent damage to my left ear as a result of a ruptured ear drum.
2014 - 2018
Yoga TeacherI worked as a freelance yoga teacher for many years at various locations in Indonesia (such as the Yoga Barn) and in the UK. This included teaching and organising 60 minutes to 90 minute classes.
