I am Karolína, a 29-year-old language enthusiast originally from the Czech Republic, currently residing in Mexico. My passion lies in in language acquisition and cultural exploration. Over the past seven years, I have cultivated extensive experience teaching English both online and face-to-face. When it comes to the Spanish language, I specialize in instructing and utilizing the Latin American variant. Shifting to my native language, Czech, I bring two years of teaching experience to the table. Recognizing each student's uniqueness, my approach centers on a personalized connection. Through conversations, I grasp individual preferences, assess language proficiency, and pinpoint preferred learning methods. I adapt strategies based on tried-and-true techniques, ensuring a proactive introduction of diverse methods for those yet to discover their preferences. My priority is the student's comfort. I use multimedia like movie clips for phrasal verb instruction, stories for reading and pronunciation, and assign audio tasks as homework. Had my first lesson with Karolína today and it was great! I have been studying Czech on my own on and off for a while, and I always get intimidated by grammar and cases. Today I had several lightbulb moments where Karolína’s explanations made seemingly complicated ideas make sense to me. I also appreciate her focus on flowing communication rather than going immediately into structured grammar. l look forward to more lessons with her. Děkuju Karolína!
