Chie-sensei is a wonderful teacher! She is very kind, helpful and extremely patient. Each lesson, is extremely professional and is also created around her individual students strengths and weaknesses in the language - this ensures that the best progress is made of their ability! I have had 3 lessons now with Chie-sensei and look forward to the many more to come 😊

I have been taking regular weekly lessons with Chie-san for several months now. She is a very conscientious teacher and will answer your questions thoroughly. We have a system where I can put down questions that I have in advance and she will go through them at the next lesson. She always has well-prepared answers that she explains well. She is also very approachable such that you feel comfortable asking her anything. She is also mindful of where you are at in your language study and will cater her lessons to meet your needs (eg she incorporates short conversations in our lessons to help me with my speaking ability). I really enjoy my lessons with her!

Chie is a fantastic teacher with Japanese, helping me understand the language in a way that broadens my vocabulary, lets me understand the grammar and give context to what I'm trying to communicate, in a friendly and approachable way. Highly recommended!

While I am a slow student, Chie-sensei's patience is extraordinary; she always guides me and repeats items as necessary, without any impatience or annoyance. I have taken lessons with Chie-san for the past 7 months and I would highly recommend her if you are interested in learning Japanese at any level. She is great at facilitating and guiding you with relevant examples and sentence structures and picks up quickly on how you can improve during each lesson. I love her organizational skills and she gives fun and cute homework based on your lesson. I really learned alot during my time with her and now feel confident in speaking basic sentences and she even helped me prepare for my trip to Japan. She also helped me with medical phrases that I can use for my job with some Japanese patients. She is always pleasant to talk to, dependable, and on time to every session.
