Hello, my name is Cẩm Thu, I have a bachelor's degree in English Linguistics. Teaching Vietnamese is my career, and I'm following my Master's degree in Linguistics.
I worked for a Vietnamese Language Center in Hồ Chí Minh City and I have a southern accent. I love traveling, learning languages, talking with people, discussing culture, and helping people with their Vietnamese.我的教學經歷
I would call myself as a flexible, friendly, organized, and passionate teacher. I always feel happy when I’m in class and listening to students speaking Vietnamese.
Being a teacher gives me a chance to keep studying, during my working life I have improved my knowledge of the Vietnamese language and teaching methodology. I am teaching adult students from many countries such as Korea, the USA, Australia, Taiwan, Colombia, America, France, etc. 我的課程內容與教學風格
I don’t like to stick to one book like in traditional schools. I will design my lesson depending on the student's needs. I think it will be more interesting and useful for students.
I always customize my teaching to my student’s needs, if you just need someone to practice, I'm ready to be your partner.
In my class, I will always find new methods, and activities to help students to memorize effectively, practice, and improve all their skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
I’d like to focus more on communication skills for adults. I don’t prefer test preparations and children below 18 years old. Thank you!我的教材

Ms. Cam is an amazing Vietnamese teacher. She speaks English well and can explain the Vietnamese language and grammar in a way that makes it easy to understand. She is very kind, gentle, and patient. She also adds a lot of helpful information about Vietnam and Vietnamese culture.

I just started back learning Vietnamese with Cam after about a year's absence. I feel like she is one of the best teachers on italki. Her teaching style is super positive and encouraging, and it makes learning easy. Over the course of a year I thought I had forgotten all of the Vietnamese I knew, but by the end of the first lesson, Cam had me remembering everything I forgot and had me back to speaking Vietnamese at a normal cadence. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

Cô Thu was very clear in explaining the pronunciation of some key vowels and consonants, with documents which really helped. I enjoyed her encouraging style and we practiced a lot!
