Ksenia

Ksenia is an outstanding teacher. She is always very well prepared and comes to every lesson with a clear, structured plan. She creates custom flashcards for me, which has helped me build and retain vocabulary much more effectively. She is highly proficient in both English and Spanish, and I’ve been able to communicate with her comfortably in both languages when needed. Since learning with her, I’ve gone from struggling to read to being able to read and speak quite confidently. The system she uses makes it easy to see my vocabulary grow and track my progress over time, which has been incredibly motivating. Ksenia is also very kind, patient, and supportive. She’s always available if I have questions, and I really appreciate how she encourages me when I doubt myself by pointing out the progress I’ve already made. I highly recommend her to anyone serious about improving their language skills.

I have been having classes with Ksenia for plenty of time now, and I must say she is probably the best language teacher I ever had! It's true, I can say that I had teachers who were living dictionaries and knew ever word and translation you could ask without hesitating, but I have yet to meet one that can teach as Ksenia. She is able to make the "big and scary" Russian language become easy and intuitive. The way she structures her teaching course makes the language very comprehensible, as instead of being grammar heavy, she decides to teach you in a way that you'll be talking without thinking much. Through the lessons, you will talk a lot as well as read and train for daily conversations. You will also have the opportunity to practice your writing. If you're scared of how difficult learning Russian can be, I recommend you have some classes with Ksenia as surely it will become much easier and more fun. That applies to both English and Spanish speakers alike

We are working on verbs of motion which is really challenging. Ksenia continues to come up with creative ways to practice and is so so patient. She also has a really good memory for what I already know- she will say "you know this" and it hold me accountable/refreshes my memory. It feels like she knows me as an individual student and invests a lot of her mental energy into my success.

Я долго искала преподавателя и сначала пробовала именно с носителями испанского, но им было тяжело объяснить некоторые специфические моменты. С Ксенией все легко, я часто говорю, что у меня есть только 30 мин на сегодняшний урок, но потом замечаю, что уже 45 пролетели и мы даже пересидели) Она помнит все мои ошибки и ненавязчиво добавляет эти задания на новых уроках, чтобы я наверняка запомнила) Также имеет индивидуальный подход и старается добавить именно тот тип обучения, который меня бодрит) Вообщем мне нравится, я нашла своего учителя, никуда уже не уйду)

I keep writing good things because these lessons continue to be so good! It's almost addictive. I am noticing how much better/quicker/more confident I am with speaking to my significant other (the reason I'm learning) and we managed to go 4h speaking only Russian the other day! I attribute this to Ksenia creating an environment in which it's ok to mess up and she helps you creatively communicate with the vocab you have. I am amazed at how much these lessons keep me on track. Thanks Ksenia!

I am really really bad at the Russian verbs of motion and so Ksenia is coming up with a variety of ways to incorporate them into our conversation. We also practice conjugations in a way that is helping me slowly feel more natural/quick. It's just hard! Ksenia is patient and kind and I endlessly appreciate it.
