My name is Catarina and I am portuguese. I grew up in the countryside of Portugal. I studied Law at University of Coimbra, here in Portugal. After my gaduation i attended a postgraduate course in Human Rights. I speak Portuguese, English, a little bit of French and now i am trying to learn Thai. I also know some words in German, Spanish and Italian. I love reading, dancing and listen to music. I have 3 cats (Sebastião, Basílio e Flora) and 1 dog (Dingo).我的教學經歷
IMPORTANT : Prices update
Hello, current students and potential future students :)
Class prices and formats will be updated in two weeks.
Classes will now be divided into two groups. One of the groups will only be for beginners classes (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, etc.), and the other will be for students who just want to practice speaking. Prices will be adjusted taking into account the class time and the preparation time of the class.
Starting on september
I am a fun, easy going and dynamic teacher. I always try to do my best.

The classes will be tailored according to the knowledge you already have of Portuguese, your goals and needs. If you are just starting, we can start from the beggining with the basics. If on the other and, you already know a little bit of Portuguese, then we can do another approach. We can have conversations about any topic of your choice, we can listen to portuguese songs and analyse the lyrics, we can take a look at the grammar and more complex contents. There are several exercises we can do and methods we can try. Usuallly i prefer an informal approach but i can do formal to.我的教材

She is a fantastic teacher. She’s patient and explains things very clearly, which is perfect for someone like me who’s still an early-stage speaker. I really appreciate how she pushes me to speak and improve, but always in a supportive and encouraging way. The lessons are well-structured with interesting topics, and I always feel like I’m making real progress after each session. Highly recommended for anyone serious about learning European Portuguese!

I've been having speaking practice sessions with my teacher almost 4 times a week for the past two months, and it's made a massive difference for me. Every session feels natural and friendly. We always find something to talk about, and the atmosphere makes it easy to speak without pressure.
She gives me plenty of chances to talk and listen, and what's great is that she encourages me to experiment with new sentence structures and vocabulary, even if I'm not 100% confident. Before, I’d avoid saying words I wasn’t sure how to pronounce ..now I just go for it, and that’s thanks to her support.
We also dive into grammar when it comes up, which really helps since I do a lot of self study. Having someone to guide me through tricky points in context makes it all stick better. Overall, my confidence in speaking has improved hugely, and I actually enjoy practicing now.
