Takeshi has been an amazing teacher so far! He is very thorough and easy to talk to, gives great examples, relevant and up to date Japanese terms, and overall makes lessons super fun and enjoyable! I leave each lesson with tons of new knowledge to practice and study and look forward to every lesson with him.

I've been taking weekly lessons with Takeshi for almost two years now and I can't recommend him enough! Although I was still making steady progress I felt like the routine for our lessons and my homework needed to be switched up a bit last lesson and as usual he came back with a lot of creative ideas and was more than willing to listen to my own ideas to devise new methods to keep the learning process fresh and productive. Every single lesson is as fun as it is effective and I'm excited to keep learning with him!

Takeshi is exactly the kind of tutor I need at this stage of my Japanese learning journey. He explains concepts well, keeps a fun environment during the lesson while continuously challenging me. He's able to correct me on the spot without disrupting the flow of the conversation when we're talking in Japanese only, and suggest more casual or natural ways to phrase things. 100% would recommend, and I'll be working with him for the foreseeable future.
