I'm a language enthusiast in every sense of the word. I love learning new languages, but I also love teaching them. I truly believe that speaking a new language helps you to better understand yourself, others and the world we live in.

My approach focuses on interaction and communication. I believe in teaching languages in an environment that mimics the real world, so you can start using what you've learned right away.
I have a relaxed attitude, but I am firm on quality. I believe that one of the most underestimated qualities of a teacher is the ability to really listen to their students. This helps me to identify your specific needs so that I can help you grow as a language learner.5.0

My 9 year old son learned al lot and gained more confidence speaking and writing Dutch. Simon is an excellent teacher, he explains things well and is patient and motivating.

Simon is a teacher by trade and it shows. He is patient, kind and encouraging but, as any teacher should, he listens carefully to what you say, identifying problems and providing excellent feedback. He completely understands the structure of his own language and is able to explain clearly why something is the way it is. He is also funny and interesting in his own right, so you are unlikely to run out of conversation! I can't recommend Simon's lessons enough.

Simon is very good at putting the student at ease to speak, including on more technical and advanced topics. He also has an in-depth knowledge of the Dutch language that will be of interest to anyone wanting to go further in their study of the language.
