I’m Moe from Kyoto (now in Tokyo), a Japanese teacher specializing in beginner-friendly grammar and natural conversation —perfect if you’re starting from scratch or polishing your skills!
With 4+ years at a language school and volunteer teaching in Canada, I’ve helped global students speak confidently. As a language learner myself (English, Chinese, now French!), I know the challenges—and joys—of practicing daily.
Love travel! My trips to 15+ countries taught me the power of connecting through language. Whether you’d like to learn Kansai dialect (my hometown’s charm!) or discuss culture over free-talk lessons, I’m here to support your journey!我的教學經歷
I am a qualified teacher of Japanese. (Completed 420 hours Japanese Teacher Training Course)
I have worked for students studying Japanese from all over the world while working at Japanese language school, and also I have taught Japanese in Canada as a volunteer when I lived in Toronto.
Since I’m also the one who is studying other language from the scratch, I know how hard practically using the language you learn is although it’s so much fun to study. In my lesson, I want to support you for not only learning Japanese as a “knowledge” but also using Japanese actually.

◆General Japanese for beginners
This class focuses on learning basic Japanese grammar. We will study through conversation and practice, using PowerPoint slides I created based on Minna no Nihongo I and II.
◆Conversation Practice
The topic is open, so we can just have a conversation or read an article together. Feel free to talk about your hobbies or tell me more about your country. Let’s talk a lot and have fun!
◆Informal tutoring
I'll plan for the class in line with your request. Please let me know your request/idea in advance :D

Moesans lessons are very good and are delivered in a fun, relaxed and informative manner. In the lessons there is a good balance when learning new grammar and practicing it afterwards to ensure it is understood. The homework feedback is also very useful to practice all the learnt grammar further. Thank you.

Another lesson down!
Moe-san is a patient, kind, and conscientious sensei. I had a great lesson with her. Her teaching flow is fluid and her slides are well put together. She explained grammar well and we had plenty of practice speaking. She tries to speak mostly in Japanese so I get used to hearing it as well as pick up on some of the vocabs, but it helps tremendously that she is proficient in English, especially when I don't understand something and need a more in-depth explanation.
