Hi! I’m Charles Bishop, also known as Colton, from the USA. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Carolina University and a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL/TESL certification from Oxford Seminars. I taught business English in Bogotá, Colombia, for two years before becoming a freelance teacher. After living in Spanish-speaking countries for over two years, I now offer beginner Spanish classes alongside English. I believe that students should learn through engaging, hands-on, communicative lessons. Research shows that experiential learning helps students retain knowledge for longer periods of time and express that knowledge more fluently. This helps them to move beyond their procedural understanding of the content to develop a conceptual understanding as well. I also firmly believe that in today’s society it is imperative that students develop a greater global awareness through their classroom instruction. By learning about other cultures, practices, and beliefs/values, students will be able to relate to diverse populations more appropriately.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are extremely communicative and conversationally focused, all the way from levels A1-C2. However, every crucial English language skill will be practiced, including:

Professional Business English Teacher - BBE Languages (Beyond Business English) - 2022I have uploaded proof of my Business English experience. For two years, I taught at BBE Languages (Beyond Business English)in Bogotá, Colombia, working with companies like Google and Decathlon. A year ago, I began offering Business English classes on italki,using strategies from BBE. I’ve now taught over 100 such classes on italki. I've been taking lessons with Colton for a few months now. He is an extremely enthusiastic teacher who loves his job. He has a variety of different pre planned lessons you can do but you can also just talk about whatever you currently find interesting. At the end of each lesson he gives you a summary of the mistakes you did during class and helps you to correct them.

Colton is a very good teacher, he is friendly, optimistic and dynamic. He teaches me a lot of grammar using very good materials on which we can work togheter when we talk and also I can do it by myself after that.

Colton is an excellent teacher. He asks a lot of questions and is truly intersted of the answers. At the end of the lessons he makes great summary of a few the most important mistakes and ask to correct them. Finally, the lessons are extremally useful. Colton is also so friendly and open for many topics.
