Hi! I’m Azael, a Spanish teacher with 12 years’ experience and 21,000+ lessons; host of Stairway to Spanish. I specialize in conversation and help you speak confidently, from beginner to advanced. Patient, clear, and adaptable. I believe we all learn at different paces and in different ways. I explain grammar in plain language and connect it to real situations. Dos formatos: conversación con temas que te interesan, lecturas, vocabulario útil y correcciones claras; o clase formal con gramática, ejercicios, práctica oral y escrita y simulaciones. Todo a tu ritmo. Al final de cada sesión, recibes notas y sugerencias concretas para avanzar.
I tailor lessons to your level, goals, and interests. Two formats: conversation on topics you care about, with readings, useful vocabulary, and clear corrections; or a formal class with grammar, exercises, speaking and writing practice, and role plays. I'm impressed by how Azael can go with the flow as I forgot to send him what I wanted to work on beforehand! I read in prior reviews that he is good at explaining and clarifying concepts that you may struggle with. I brought up two grammar topics that I get confused in when speaking and trying to understand Spanish. I really feel that he was able to go with the flow and I FINALLY understand them in a more solid way. Thank you!!

Amazing!! My favorite thing about learning Spanish with Azael is that I feel like I am his only student - even though he has a full schedule!! I started knowing nothing about Spanish. Now I have a basic vocabulary, can conjugate basic verbs, count numbers, and also got over my fear of speaking a language I am not fluent in. Thank you very much.

Azael is very easy to talk with and does a great job of providing real time correction while also taking notes for study afterwards. So far we have just spent time discussing random daily topics conversationally, which is exactly what I desire.
