I always enjoy my lessons with Jose and I'm super thankful to have found him on this platform. I have been able to practice my medical Spanish with him through roleplay scenarios and have also gotten much more comfortable with general conversation, especially in the past tense, which has been one of my goals. I appreciate that he always puts corrections in the chat in real time, so I can learn how to say them correctly with him, and then review them later (I copy them and put them in flashcards). I also forgot to mention in a previous review that his ability to speak English is so helpful. I can ask him how to say a word I am having trouble remembering in Spanish, and he can help immediately. Would recommend him to any student, but definitely to others in healthcare.

My Spanish is improving so much with José! As an aside, I used the patient questions and follow-up questions that José helped me with (which we created in a previous class) in order for me to collect a clinical history, and it went super smoothly! Everything was clearly answered, and I got all the information I needed from the patient!!! He's currently helping me learn how to write clinical observations in Spanish. He has been so integral to my professional growth, and he's always so supportive and understanding. He's so fun to talk to so sometimes I get sidetracked and talk about non-clinical things (which is also great practice) and he also makes space for that, but he's also really thoughtful and reminds me and brings me back to the clinical stuff so that I get that done as well. He's such a wonderful teacher, I really appreciate his expertise, personality, his feedback, and his encouragement!

If you’re in the medical field, I highly recommend Jose. I’ve just started taking lessons with him, and we’ve already gone through how to take a full medical history in Spanish. As a medical student, this has helped my presentation skills not only in Spanish but in English too. He’s patient and gives detailed, honest feedback without just sugarcoating things, which I really appreciate. I’m also doing conversation practice on the side, and reviewing medical Spanish this way has helped me understand grammar much better. If you use Anki, Quizlet, or any other way of taking notes, it’s especially helpful that he types everything out in the chat during the lesson. It makes it really easy for me to copy and paste everything afterward to review. Overall, I definitely recommend him. I already know I’ll be booking more lessons!
