I really like these clases. Evelyn is very educated and knows to invent interesting subject. The combination of speaking, movies and reading is excellent.

I really enjoy working with Evelyn. The super memory exercise is different than anything I’ve ever tried, but it is very effective. Every lesson brings something new, and it’s never boring.

Senora Evelyn creates a welcoming environment for learning. Her patience is greatly appreciated, as I’m an older learner working on grasping a new language. At the end of each session, I’m left excited to continue to learn and for the next session. Senora Evelyn takes a friendly approach conducive for success.

Evelyn has an unusually wide-ranging set of background experiences which makes conversation with her interesting and easy. She intuits what words are too specialized for my emerging Spanish conversation skills, and effortlessly switches back and forth between all-Spanish and English delivery to keep the momentum of the conversation moving. While I am unfamiliar with the pedagogical philosophy that she has devoted a substantial amount of her life to developing, I can assert that in one 45 minute lesson I left more comfortable with holding a casual conversation in Spanish than when I began. She does not shy away from easy homework assignments either; my first was a 200 word essay which I found reasonable yet challenging.

Evelyn knows how to build a supportive study environment. Unlike mechanical Q&A sessions, she is incredibly well-read and able to hold deep conversations on a wide range of topics — exactly the kind of environment a language learner needs to thrive. What's more, I also love the learning materials.
