Please Note
1. Adults only — no lessons for children.
2. My lessons are designed for beginners.
If your Cantonese level is intermediate or above, my lessons may not be the best fit for you.
However, if you are a beginner who wants to learn Cantonese in a fun and effective way, you are in the right place! My lessons are designed to be 100% comprehensible, so you can understand everything and start speaking Cantonese with confidence from day one.
⚠️ Lesson Policies
Each lesson lasts 55 minutes, as I take a 5-minute break between lessons (25 minutes for half-hour lessons).
If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson will be considered a no-show, and the session will end.我的教材

Today was my first Cantonese lesson ever. (I have never learnt from any books or youtube before). I only have some basic in Mandarin. Yan spoke to me in Cantonese from the first sentence. She encouraged me to try using the words I just learned a couple of seconds ago by asking me lots of questions.
I imitated how she put things in sentences and learned quite a lot today.

Great! I really like that Yanlee keeps the whole lesson in Chinese, despite my very limited abilities - it is definitely the best way to improve quickly. and Yanlee is so friendly and patient :-)

This was a very fun class. As a beginner, I find it is very hard speaking Cantonese the whole time but I feel so lucky that teacher Yan is very patient and continues to encourage me. It is an amazing feeling to speak only in your target language for an hour as a beginner!
