Hello, everyone!
I come from Serbia and live in Greece. I have a Bachelor's degree in modern Greek Philology from Belgrade University and I am currently doing my Master's degree in History, Anthropology, and Culture in Southeastern Europe at the University of Macedonia. I have been teaching Greek and Serbian as foreign languages for two years not only beacause it's my profession, but because I love meeting people from different cultures and helping them learn languages.
I am a passionate language enthusiast familiar with the wonders and struggles of learning a new language - I am improving my German, which helps me relate to my students even more. I look forward to meeting you in class!我的教學經歷
I believe that the only right way to learn a language is the way that works for you. I am here to help you find it, support you, and motivate you on this journey.
Our classes will be tailored to fit all your needs: if you wish to learn through conversation, I will provide you with vocabulary for topics that interest you. If you, on the other hand, prefer structured lessons, I will equip you with books and additional, personalized materials. We can also mix and match various methods, and switch things up anytime to keep the learning experience dynamic and engaging.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are perfect for beginners, intermediate students, and all those who wish to learn more about the Greek & Serbian culture and participate in everyday-conversations. I believe my greatest strength as a teacher is that I learned Greek in a traditional way, and then had to apply that knowledge in Greece. This allowed me to see the differences between textbook Greek, and how the language is used in real life.
This experience also helped me shape my Serbian classes. Despite the lack of good materials, I was able to make my own sheets, texts and exercises which cover all the important aspects of real-life situations but also explain the structure of the language and occuring patterns.我的教材

The best lessons I've ever had.
For the past two years, I tried group lessons and various individual teachers but wasn't satisfied with the results and saw almost no progress. It was only when I started learning Serbian with Nevena that I began to notice significant improvements and progress.
During our first lesson, Nevena understood my expectations and tailored our course to meet my needs. She consistently prepares excellent materials, which are impressive because they always align with my interests and skill level. This is incredible because the themes she selects keep me engaged during our lessons, and her precise choice of materials keeps me motivated, as I can see my progress day by day.
After 10 lessons, I can confidently say that Nevena is the best teacher I've ever had, and I highly recommend her lessons to anyone who wants to learn Serbian.

Nevena continues to support my language-learning with her effective, well-structured lessons. Her explanations of the grammar and lexicon, especially, include helpful cultural contexts that strengthen my sense of immediacy and engagement with the Greek language and its speakers. Nevena is a very professional teacher. With this professional approach, she is able to spot your flaws and focus on polishing them up. She is also able to provide sound feedback and have you use the language.
There were a few lessons and I can confidently recommend her!
She is patient and calm. Having learned many languages herself, she is also able to provide some clues on what you can do to learn.
Btw: in the fifth lesson, I had already learned more than forty new words!!!!!

Nevena is a fantastic teacher! She's engaged, committed, and extremely flexible - she's willing and able to work in different ways with different students, and adapt seamlessly to different personality. Beyond that, she's just plain fun to work with. I can't recommend her too highly!
