I can help you improve your listening and pronunciation by giving you a solid base on Spanish phonetics (how sounds are made) and phonology (how the sounds vary).
Note: You DO NOT need "Italki Plus". All Italki Plus does is generate AI stuff from the audio recording when you use Italki Classroom. I do NOT recommend using Italki Classroom. Please choose Zoom instead. And I use Google Docs to write down anything you need to remember, so Italki Plus is pointless if you're taking lessons with me.
Before our lesson:
-Get a headset with microphone
-Install Zoom
-Create a Google Document and share it with me.

In Spanish, "todos" is pronounced ['to.ðos], but English speakers say ['to.ɾos]. You've just changed the word meaning "everyone" for the word meaning "bulls".
Learning about phonetics can also help you understand native speakers. In natural connected speech, "¿Qué es esto?" is pronounced ['ke'ses.to]. You'll learn phonetics to understand WHY this happens and how pronunciation varies by country. I'll help you acquire a neutral accent that will be accepted anywhere on Earth.
I stress the importance of ear training and correct pronunciation right from the start.

Today was my 31st lesson with Miguel! I started as a total beginner and now can put together sentences in real time and have simple convos. My goal is to be able to speak Spanish at work with native speakers.
We use Miguel's beginner comprehensible input Youtube course as a foundation. For homework I watch 1-3 videos multiple times, transcribe, then translate any difficult phrases. Every few lessons a new verb, phrase or conjugation is introduced.
During lessons Miguel reviews and corrects my transcription. He gives with real word examples, etymology and grammar info for new words. I'm also practicing listening and producing connected speech, which you don't get in Dreaming Spanish beginner and super beginner videos (which I also subscribe to.)
The first weeks of lessons were dedicated to pronunciation. That was the reason I chose Miguel as my tutor. I now have a good foundation in pronunciation will not have to unlearn bad habits later.

I have presentations that I give in Spanish from time to time. I utilize his services to help me with pronunciation and connecting sounds, so that I sound more natural. Also, he does well in correcting grammar and rephrasing sentences so that they sound natural in Spanish. Since I spend most of my time speaking English, I need reminders. The last presentation I gave I received a very nice compliment from a native speaker. She said my pronunciation was very good and everything I said was grammatically correct and natural.

Great first lesson! We got right down to business working on my pronunciation and discussing the kind of work I should be doing going forward. Exactly what I was hoping for.
I’m still very much a beginner in Spanish. In fact, today’s lesson was actually my first time attempting to speak with someone in Spanish. So, I appreciate how patient he was with me even though I couldn’t say very much.
