Dena is the best teacher ever. I love his teaching style. He listens intently and displays calm and patience in his instruction. He always shares unique insights into Indonesian culture and language. The time I spend with him is productive, exciting, and enjoyable. My Indonesian has improved dramatically since he has been my instructor. He truly is an amazing guy and teacher! He deserves a rating higher than 5 stars!

Dena told stories about Bali and Indonesia to make me feel like I was there, using the language with him. He provided background on when to use formal and informal phrases so that I would sound like a native. He patiently repeated the phrases until I sounded like a local. He asked about my learning style and adjusted as we went along to suit my learning needs. He was so knowledgeable about the language and customs. that I immediately signed up for a package because I can't wait to have more lessons with him! I didn't know language learning could be so much fun!

What an enjoyable first lesson! I have had lessons with multiple tutors over the past year, and I can tell that Dena will be one of my favorites. The lesson was stress free, on track, and my time was valued. However, the tutor was willing to allow me to ask questions about culture and history. In addition, he seems quite knowledgeable of a wide variety of subjects regarding Indonesian culture. I don't think you can go wrong with this teacher. His internet was very good as well, no background noise, and a clear webcam. He was not distracted. I will continue to use him as a tutor and suggest you do to.

The structure is very good, starting from the basics of pronouncing vowels. To then learning basic words and phrases. Very friendly and patient teacher.
