Hello! I’m Negar, an experienced Farsi teacher from Tehran, now living in Canada. With over 5 years of experience, I'm here to help students of all levels, master their Farsi through engaging, customized lessons.
Teaching brings me so much joy, and I’m dedicated to making your Farsi journey easy, fun, and effective. My lessons are personalized to your goals, using a variety of materials to cover everything you need from grammar to real-life conversations.
Beyond teaching, I’m also a musician, playing piano and cello. In my video, you’ll see me perform a beloved Persian song!

I have been teaching Persian for five years and enjoy working with both adults and children. My diverse interests including travel, music, communication, culture and science allow me to connect with my students on a personal level and make lessons engaging and meaningful.
I believe that language learning should be fun and enjoyable, so I always try to create a relaxed, supportive, and interactive environment where students can learn and enjoy. I am highly flexible with my lessons to meet each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style.

I have had seven classes with Negar so far and I plan to do many more. Her structured approach to lessons has me already feeling confident about my foundations in the language even though I am an absolute beginner. She is very knowledgeable about the differences and similarities between English and Persian/Farsi styles of expression, which makes understanding the language from my English speaking background a breeze! I highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone interested in learning how to really use and understand Farsi.

I've learned to expand my sentences even more by having a direct object in them, especially the kind of objects you can eat, because today's lesson was all about the Persian cuisine :)

Today we have expanded my vocabulary and engaged in listening practice for the first time using content made for native speakers. I still have a very long way to go and I truly appreciate Negar's vote of confidence in my Farsi abilities. It was so good to see you today :)
