I'm pursuing my PhD in civil engineering at UT Austin. I also teach the SPN 601D class at UT.
I enjoy talking about sports, hobbies, traveling, culture, social justice and politics. I also enjoy playing sports, working out, hanging out with my friends, traveling and talking about cultural differences. I have been able to travel to Canada and 8 states in America, but can't wait to go to Europe, Australia, South America and Asia.我的教學經歷
I like meeting new students. During my lessons, I feel like I'm listening and learning about other countries and cultures while sharing mine; I don't feel like I'm teaching. 我的課程內容與教學風格
Our lessons can be:
a) Structured: About grammar or specific topics you'd like to talk about or discuss
b) Casual: We go with the flow, get to know each other and talk about random topics spontaneously.
c) Informal: They're ideal if you wanna learn slang or controversial aspects about Mexico.
or just a mix. Feel free to let me know with your request what you'd like to talk about during our lesson.
I can also suggest to watch youtubers, tv shows or movies in Spanish; read news articles, books or check out specific material (debates, documentaries, magazines, etc.).我的教材

César is an excellent teacher. It was great to talk with a fellow engineer and to hear a little about his background in language learning. César is extremely intelligent. He provided me with some interesting articles /links and we had a great conversation. He is an outstanding teacher and would perfect for students at any level of proficiency.

I wanted to practice speaking spontaneously, in an unstructured conversation. Cesar was great to talk to. Patient, fun, and a helpful coach.
I particularly liked talking about subjects I wasn't familiar with. One of my learning goals is to be able to converse with people about their lives and work, so I can get to know them better and learn more about their experiences and perspectives, instead of just having basic business or tourist interactions.
Conversing with Cesar is a great way to do that. Muchas gracias, Cesar!
