Hello!
My name is Léa. Here’s a bit about me.
I’ve been a writer, director, and screenwriter in Paris for the past 10 years, and I love my work. I’m currently writing my fourth novel while preparing my second film. I enjoy writing about families, coming-of-age, and close relationships. I’m an expert in the French language.
I’m quite social and curious. Outside of work, I enjoy meeting up with friends on a Parisian terrace and watching films.

For the past few years, I’ve also been teaching writing and directing at conferences and workshops for all ages and experience levels. I would love to share my native language with you and help you learn.

My teaching method is simple: prioritize connection and natural conversation so it is interesting and relevant to you. I’ve myself suffered through language classes where learning felt manufactured and dull. I look forward to sharing French as it is actually spoken today, with the words and phrases that native speakers use. I can also help explain the different words for both formal and casual settings. In our lessons, you’ll learn to speak real French and not the French from outdated textbooks.
I can also help with pronunciation. I speak French with a neutral, “Parisian” accent, without a regional accent, to help you learn what is most standard.

Every lesson with Léa is so enjoyable and enlightening. I feel relaxed enough to just “go with the flow” and my French is better because I’m so relaxed. Après dix cours avec Léa, mon apprentissage continue d'être très intéressant. Je m'améliore un peu à chaque fois. Sa manière est excellente et je suis à l'aise parlant avec elle. Nous discutons de nombreux sujets et mon vocabulaire s’enrichit. Les notes de révision après chaque cours arrivent toujours très rapidement. Elle aussi répond rapidement à toutes mes questions. J'ai beaucoup de chance d'avoir choisi ce professeur.

Léa was wonderful! Even though I was very nervous, my worries disappeared as the lesson progressed. I highly recommend Lea for anyone who is just beginning to speak and very worried about making mistakes while speaking. Very interesting conversations and wonderful atmosphere!
