HI! THANK YOU FOR CHECKING OUT MY TEACHER PROFILE 😊 I'm Faith Aoko, I was born and mostly grew up in Kisumu, Kenya. I'm on a journey of becoming deeply acquainted with myself and healing in the process. I've travelled in a couple of towns in Kenya and done WWOOF a few times where I got to learn about permaculture and living with nature. I'm traveling around South East Asia at the moment I love cooking & eating, cleaning & organizing, dancing, stretching & tapping on my body to build connections & flexibility, going for walks, watching animes (Ascendance of a Bookworm, Frieren, Sword Art Online, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Solo Leveling, The Great Cleric, Hunter x Hunter), & movies (The Croods, Avatar, Inception) I taught Kiswahili at my own school for four months and later on pursued Bachelor of Education Arts for two years (Kiswahili & Geography). I've been teaching Luo/Swahili online for over three years now My intention is to have a deeper understanding and awareness of myself which will help to assist you in acquiring Luo/Swahili depending on your interests/needs. I currently use image pdfs, storybooks, videos & personal experiences where applicable. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN MY LUO/SWAHILI CLASS 😊

Our lesson today was a good example of how Faith tailors her lessons to students' interests. She knows that we are interested in different cultures and in the arts. So earlier in the week she sent us pictures of hena hand tattoos. Today we discussed the pictures while being introduced to new vocabulary words like design, style, permanent and temporary. We feel like Faith really cares about us as individuals and is willing to put in the extra effort to help us learn. Try a lesson with her!
