Hi! I’m Ciarra, a native English speaker from the United States, and I’m excited to help you improve your English in a fun, friendly, and thoughtful way. I’m a dance teacher with a passion for communication and connection. I’ve been learning Spanish for almost a year, so I understand the challenges & joys of learning a new language. I love discussing topics like food, music, art, pop culture, nature, and current events, and I’m always eager to learn new things from the people I meet. As a teacher, I’m supportive, gentle, and encouraging, with a strong focus on building my students’ confidence. I believe that feeling comfortable and heard is essential to learning a new language. At the same time, I offer targeted guidance to help you grow and meet your specific goals, whether that’s improving conversational skills, expanding your vocabulary, or sounding more natural in everyday English. I adapt my approach to fit your needs.

My lessons focus on real life conversations, active listening, and natural speaking practice. I believe the best way to improve is to jump right in and start talking about things that matter to you, your interests, your work, your daily life. I will also sometimes send videos or shows for you to watch so that you can practice listening comprehension outside of class and we can have a set topic to talk about together. Don’t worry about making mistakes they’re an important part of the process.
