Hello! 你好！I’m Vivian, a certified Chinese teacher specializing in both Mandarin and Cantonese—born and raised in Guangzhou. As a language learner myself (English/Spanish), I blend cultural insights with clear, visual-based lessons (thanks to my Graphic Arts background!). ☆ I majored in Graphic Arts in Guangzhou University. So I always like to create vivid graphic visualizations and PowerPoint slides to enhance my lessons so that they are very clear and easy to understand.

I took Vivian's Cantonese class as a beginner. I was nervous to try a language with so many well known obstacles, but she helped me to navigate through the minefield that is Cantonese. She is very supportive, has many excellent resources, and presents the material in a well-organized and professional manner. I highly recommend her for your studies!

Vivian did a great job giving a short introduction to tones and Taoism specific terms for my 11th grade IB World Religion students. She was extremely prepared, with note cards and a power point presentation. She was both clear and positive in her interactions with the class. My students LOVED the experience and we are all very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her!

My 8 year old daughter just started taking lessons on a regular basis with Vivian. Not only does she seem to enjoy the lessons with Vivian, I can already hear the improvement. Vivian is very easy going and encouraging. I'm very glad we found her on italki.
