Born in Hong Kong, but a Canadian raised in Canada. I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages. As a language learner myself, I totally understand the challenges that you might face.
I have been studying Japanese for many years, taught English in Japan for 3 months to students of all ages and did language exchange with college students when I was there. Currently learning Spanish.

I am a professional teacher, TESOL certified, familar with IELTS and CELPIP.
I studied linguistics and phonetics when I was studying for my TESOL teaching certificate at York University.
Study methods and repetitions are very important, so no matter what kind of class you choose, I will go over some effective methods and things that we can do to make reviewing less dreadful.
My goal is to help you with your language learning; you will always be the center of the class.
英語のレッスンは、カジュアルとフォーマルと二つの形が提供してございます。
フォーマルの場合：
ーレベルやニーズに応じて、指導案を作るのができます
ーレッスンから出てきた新し単語や文法点、誤りのところなどでリストを作ってお送りいたします
ー日課やプレゼンテーションなどの課題を作ることができます
ー発音のこともお手伝いことができます。

❅Informal Lesson (casual conversation with no lesson plan):
You talk at least 70% of the time! =)
-For those who are more advanced and are looking for conversational practice. I'll provide error corrections and explain any doubts you might have about grammar/vocabulary/phrases/phonics etc.
❅ Japanese lessons:
- beginners to low intermediate
- taught using Minna no Nihongo, Genki or Japanese for busy people
- taught in English or Cantonese

Cathy is the real deal; a fantastic teacher! She gave me a ton of resources. Our first lesson flowed really well, I can tell that with her guidance I will be able to learn Japanese a lot more quickly. I will be booking another class with her as soon as possible and if you haven't booked a teacher yet I recommend Cathy!

Cathy is very friendly and supportive. I don't have words to express how good is she! I really enjoy my classes with her! She is an amazing teacher and I am learning a lot of things! In the end of each class, she gives me homework to do, which is excellent so I can learn more and more.
