I’m Daia, a Brazilian teacher from São Paulo who loves helping foreigners speak Portuguese naturally and confidently, using authentic expressions you won’t find in textbooks. I help students overcome the fear of speaking, whether they’re visiting Brazil, working with Brazilians, or simply passionate about our culture. I’ve lived in the U.S., spent time in Canada, and truly enjoy cultural exchange. My passion for music, food, travel, and teaching with a good sense of humor brings each class to life. I’ve worked with students from different backgrounds and learning goals – from complete beginners taking their first steps in Portuguese to advanced learners fine-tuning their fluency. My approach is based on patience, adaptability, and clear communication, so each student feels supported in their progress. Daia explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand and keeps the lesson organized and productive. At the same time, she’s kind and has a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is relaxed, and I felt comfortable to speak and ask questions. I’m looking forward to the next class!
