Hello! My name is Helena and I could be your next - most fun - German teacher! I am currently located in Berlin but I was born in Paris. I grew up bilingual and have been teaching for a decade now already. Time flies :) I love sports, social justice topics overall, reading, arts, learning new languages and anything related to animals. Maybe you can teach me something about your own passion soon!

我的教學經歷

My main goal is to make you have fun while learning. Even though I do stick to grammar / rules and use classical materials such as books, audio resources and videos, I always try to gamify the class and find solutions for to class to be as interesting and matching your personal needs and preferences as much as possible. I highly encourage people to speak as much as possible and no attempt to build a sentence is bad. I got your back for vocabulary and hints.

我的課程內容與教學風格

I always recommend having 2 sessions a week of 50-60 minutes and dedicating at least 15 minutes daily to homework / learning rules or vocabulary by heart. Unfortunately there's no way around it in German. As said, the "robotic" side of German is due to the many rules - and their exceptions - which in the early stage of the learning journey you simply need to know by heart. Nonetheless, I go through old rules every time when I start the class, we refresh, repeat, and get new stuff in in each sessions. If you feel like we can speed it up -> we put the turbo modus on. If you want to repeat something or need clarification on some rules -> I do that. Every question has a right to be!
