My name is Marina. I was born and raised in Russia but started traveling around the world at the age of 18. Since then I have lived and worked in quite a number of countries.
For the last 17 years (except for the 2 years that I spent in Victoria BC, Canada and a year in Mauritius) I've been living in different parts of Turkey. Teaching is my passion and I would love to share what I know with others. There is nothing better than speaking to your student in a new language after some time!我的教學經歷
I am a native Russian speaker.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. I obtained several certificates of English during my studies, a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto, and a “Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language” diploma from Moscow State University.
I started teaching in 2001 and since then I have taught English, Russian and Turkish in Primary, Middle School, Language Courses and also in private.我的課程內容與教學風格
Communication is the key. So after an introduction of a piece of grammar of new words we will use it all in speaking activities.
I believe that the main task of a teacher is helping the student overcome his or her fear and start talking. Making mistakes at first, but getting better and better every day. Through smiles, encouragement, games and, let's face the truth, hard work - I will help you gain more confidence and let the world hear your voice in the desired language.
Just believe that any language can be learned. Whatever reason you have for studying it - either traveling, working, or preparing for exams - it can be done.我的教材

I have now had 8 Russian lessons with Marina as a beginner. Marina puts you at ease and effortlessly makes you feel comfortable to make mistakes and ask questions. Marina is also very flexible to work around my busy schedule and gets the most out of our lesson time. Lessons are extremely prepared, well-paced and gamified to make them super fun!
