★ I have been teaching Japanese professionally for about 5 years. Also, I have some other qualifications including Guide Interpreter, TOEIC 935, EIKEN Grade 1, etc.
★ I have worked for trading & shipping firms for decades, so I have broad business expertise both in JP & EN.
★ I have enjoyed being a globetrotter, visiting over 60 countries. Recently, however, I like travelling in the countryside of Japan to have fun feeling nature and hot springs, Onsen.
★ As I have been involved in some hospitality industries, I think I am a highly sociable person from earlier years.我的教學經歷
★ In 2020, I started teaching Japanese to foreigners in business fields at a community center here in Tokyo.
★ I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test 日本語教育能力検定試験 in 2021, and from there officially started my teaching career.
★ I completed a training course for teaching Japanese through the use of English, or the indirect method 間接教授法（英語）, held by the World Japanese Language Centre (WJLC) in Australia in 2022.
★ Several months ago, I started studying Chinese (standard Mandarin) 中国標準語 and am truly enjoying the leaning process towards an intermediate level right now. It is great fun for sure! 我的課程內容與教學風格
★ I can teach everything about Japanese, starting from zero in English. I teach with introductory textbooks, while I can also use general-conversation-based textbooks for those who are planning to visit Japan and not so interested in grammar.
★ To improve speaking skills, I would like you to speak as much as you can. Picking from some topics you are familiar with is perfectly fine, although I can send you some modern news events every week, so you can pick one or two and share your opinions with me.
★ I teach 1) business Keigo 敬語, 2) how to write business emails メール, 3) how to read various materials including business news ニュース, 4) JLPT N1 & N2 preparation, and 5) Job interviews 面接.我的教材

Yoshi's Easy Japanese for Travelling course was excellent preparation for my trip to Japan; it included loads of helpful vocabulary and basic grammar which were relevant for day to day interactions. The tools he provided were also very useful as a reference, which I could refer back to. He also teaches these materials in a fun & easy going manner. Highly recommended for this travelling to Japan soon!

Yoshi sensei’s grammar lesson is very helpful! I thought I understood particles pretty well but, he really goes into detail with examples of when and how to use Japanese particles naturally and correctly. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher to anyone interested in Japanese, and would recommend this lesson for anyone who wants to better understand particles. Speaking two languages while growing up was something I really took for granted, because as a child it was effortless. Nowadays, I am much older and took up Japanese on a whim while recovering from a surgery. Learning a third language is the most rewarding and enjoyable hard work I have had in a long time. I love it, and Yoshi is no small part of my Japanese adventure. He's always upbeat, easy to speak to (luckily for me), and makes things very clear. Honestly, I leave his lessons with more enthusiasm for learning this incredible language. Take it from me, I am retired public high school principal and college professor, this is what the best teachers do for their students!

老師的選擇
今日は尊敬語と謙譲語について学びました。市販(しはん)の日本語の文法書では、尊敬語の作り方の一つとして「れる・られる」が紹介されていますが、今回のレッスンで、この形はあまり使われないということに気づきました。
また、「ご確認しました」よりも「確認いたしました」のほうが自然な表現だということも学べて、本当に勉強になりました。先生、次のレッスンもよろしくお願いいたします！

Yoshi-sensei is really a great teacher. He explains concepts very well and encourages you to practice out loud which has been really helpful for improving speaking abilities. I took his grammar course and it had a lot of really good information about using Japanese particles and understanding sentence structure.
I highly recommend his lessons for anyone interested in improving their Japanese grammar, speaking, listening, or reading skills. Looking forward to our next lesson soon!
