I'm an out-going EFL teacher who is from the UK. I got my CELTA certificate in 2021, so I've been teaching for 4 years now. I teach all ranges of students in general English, as well as exam classes for IELTS. I love travelling, sport and cooking! I've travelled across a lot of South America, and I lived in Mexico for a short while. At the moment, I'm also doing a part time course in the sciences, as I've always been interested in them and I think it'll widen my knowledge base for when I'm teaching.我的教學經歷
As a teacher, I like to think I'm a warm and comforting presence in a class. I really try to make students feel comfortable and confident enough to speak. I understand how hard it is learning another language, having learnt Spanish myself!我的課程內容與教學風格
First of all, I think it's so important for a teacher to be flexible in what they teach, especially when it comes to 1-to-1 classes. I think I do this very well, always. gauging student's needs and making new material if needs be for them. Another core part of my lessons is grammar. A lot of teachers are scared to teach grammar, especially for advanced level students, but not me. Not only do I think it's one of the most vital parts of anyone's language education, but I also think it doesn't have to be boring or gruelling. And lastly, for me speaking is the most important part of the lesson, as well being exposed to lots of listening and different accents.我的教材

TeacherI taught here full time from June until September, however I had to stop due to starting education again. I taught 1-to-1s, groups and exam classes.

TeacherI taught here full time from November 2023 until June 2024. I taught group classes, 1-to-1s and exam classes.
2023 - 2024
Freelance TeacherBeginning in April of 2023, while I was in Mexico, I started teaching online with Preply. Other than for my CELTA course, which was online, it was my first extended experience teaching for myself online. I found it very rewarding, hence why I want to return to it (but with a different company), but sadly I had to stop because juggling my full time workout Verbo and online teaching was too much.
2022 - 2023
TeacherI began teaching here. from December 2022 until May 2023, when we had to leave Mexico due to a family emergency. I would have loved to stay for longer, I loved teaching out there. I primarily taught groups of teenager and children, but I also had 1-to1s with adults.
2021 - 2022
Teacher, Admissions Coordinator, TransfersThis was my first proper position at a school after completing may CELTA because before then I had only done freelance work, often temporarily due to schools recovering from covid. I taught from December 2021 - September 2022, always with groups of teenagers or children. The director of studies offered me extra roles during the summer, which was in the sales and logistics department of the school, but I always focused on teaching the most.
2021 - 2022
Freelance TeacherHere I got my first teaching work after my CELTA as a temporary teacher. St Giles is a fantastic and very esteemed school, so I learnt so much in such a short time. I started in November 2021 and then finished my freelance work in March 2022 when I started working more at BLCI.

Admissions Coordinator and Transfers CoordinatorI worked in the administration of BLCI over the summer, doing sales with admissions and logistics by myself. I had to hire and organise coaches to pick up minors from Gatwick and Heathrow airport.
2017 - 2019
Assistant ManagerI worked at the Paris as a bartender from February 2017, but in 2018 I was promoted to assistant manager. I learnt how to manage a business and other employees here. After this I also worked in a number of other bars and restaurants before I took my CELTA.
