Candy is an amazingly intelligent teacher. She provides useful examples that demonstrate the way Japanese grammar should/not be used and why it is or isn't culturally appropriate; this level of learning is critical and cannot be achieved through self-study alone. (Not to mention her 'people skills' are off the chart.) She's knows how to teach--simply put!!

Wonderful blend of pushing me to use and understand Japanese with explaining concepts and words clearly in English when I needed. Very organized in providing a helpful structured learning experience while also open to conversation. Friendly, knowledgable, informative and easy to talk to. Really enjoyed my lesson! Looking forward to the next one.

Always a pleasure learning from Candy. I value her ability to identify my retention weaknesses and she regularly adjusts her teaching methods to best help me continue learning. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Japanese.
