Hi, I’m Britney! A certified TEFL tutor and education student from Ohio, I specialize in helping learners master English grammar, pronunciation, and natural fluency—whether for daily conversations, exams, or confidence boosts!
Teaching energizes me because I see progress: students grasping tricky rules, sounding clearer, or finally nailing that interview. My own language-learning journey (Spanish, currently a B2!) keeps my lessons empathetic and practical.

I'm an educator from Ohio, USA, with a 120-hour TEFL certification in teaching English as a foreign language. I work in helping students improve their business English, conversational skills, and test results.
With experience teaching both young learners (preschool to 5th grade) and adults, I know how to adapt lessons to meet each student's unique needs.
As both a language teacher and learner, I know that learning a language can be a huge task. I use my own experience as a language learner to improve my practice, and I do my best to bring a thoughtful, engaging, and empathetic approach to my lessons.

I try to be considerate about changing my style to suit what each student needs.
Most of my students find conversation lessons to be the most enjoyable and effective way to learn. In some cases we just chat, in other cases we can talk more specifically about media that we share, or stories we've heard. I can help edit writing in English, or hone interview responses.
I give constructive feedback and try to find conversation topics that are genuinely engaging for my students.
I'm naturally positive and like to motivate my students to reach the next level in their language learning and to continue taking it step-by-step, building English fluency. It's a long road, but you CAN do it!我的教材

Today I had a great conversation class with Britney Sewell and we talked about many topics, mainly about meditation and other tools to live better, to avoid anxiety and many mental and physical illness. I have been practicing meditation for more than thirty years and I know that is for my lifetime, because the more I practice it the more I like it and the more benefits I take from it. It is a topic that I would to about with her in the next conversation class, who knows I can teach her something useful for her life while practicing my spoken English? Britney, thank you so much for giving up of part of your precious Sunday to teach me English. You are a great teacher and I highly recommend taking classes with you for those who are learning English.
