I'm a TESOL-certified English tutor from New York City who has a passion for conducting conversation classes with English learners from around the globe. I work in the film industry, and so I love movies, but I enjoy talking deeply about any topic, whether it be art, music, food, traveling, current events, or anything else. I'm naturally very curious and would love to learn more about you through our in-depth conversational lessons!我的教學經歷
My classes are like talking with a new friend, as learning a language through guided and personalized conversations is the most effective path to mastery. This style has gotten great results with past students, and I've had students struggling with English become proficient enough to attain jobs, attend colleges, and make friends in English. So whether you are a beginner or nearly fluent, taking classes with me will no doubt improve your natural conversational skills and your confidence in doing so.

These sessions are truly conversational, and I have a myriad of conversation topics and articles we can use to facilitate our discussions. I can tailor our topics based on what you're interested in and your goals, whether that be to feel more comfortable at work or for casual social situations, and I love to learn more about your areas of interest, as well as share my own. I adapt to your personal learning style and English goals, and I will introduce you to many new phrases, expressions, and vocabulary, which will help you unlock your next level of English proficiency.我的教材

I've had several lessons with Sonic already, and it's always a real pleasure to talk with him. He's super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes learning English so much more enjoyable. I can feel myself improving with each lesson - he corrects me kindly and always teaches me useful new vocabulary. We talk about all kinds of different topics, and he always brings interesting insights to the conversation. I definitely recommend him if you're looking for a great tutor to help you level up your English in a fun and relaxed way!

We had a conversation about the origin of names and Korean naming culture. It was so interesting to learn about the meanings and anecdotes behind them. I also really appreciate that you send classroom materials and videos before our lesson. It helps me feel prepared and makes the class even engaging. I love that I get to hear cultural references and insights that I wouldn’t be able to learn anywhere else. Thank you for always making the lessons both educational and practical!

Sonic deserves more than five stars! He is an extremely patient teacher, the atmosphere in the class is very relaxed, and he makes you feel comfortable. I chose him to improve my English and my confidence while speaking, and I can already feel significant progress because his teaching approach is extremely effective and the lessons are well-balanced. It almost feels like talking to a friend, yet the corrections are always insightful. The topics he chooses for conversation are always interesting and fresh, he also adapts the topics throughout the lessons, so you never get bored. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn or improve their English, because I don’t think you could find anyone better.
