Hello! I'm Merve. My native language is Turkish and I was born and raised in Turkey. I currently live in Spain and I'm an environmental engineer. I'm here to help those who want to practice speaking Turkish.

As a native Turkish speaker, I help people who want to learn Turkish through speaking. I have a patient, positive, and supportive approach.

In my lessons, I mostly try to speak in Turkish and explain things in Turkish as well — but don’t worry! If we get stuck, I’ll try to explain in English or Spanish 😊 My goal is to help you practice speaking by having conversations about topics like daily life, travel, food, and culture.
And, also you can choose italki class, Google meet or Zoom meeting to join classes.

I just finished my 4th lesson with Merve and I am happy feeling happy for learning a lot of Turkish grammar and vocabulary. for example I watch Turkish series with translation to understand the language, but when Merve explains everything I remember the series and I can watch without translation as a beginner . I am sure I will become fluent in her lessons

Merve is such a great teacher to study with. this was my first lesson with her and I have learned a lot of grammar in the Turkish language. I didn't know how to use it before but I understand now just in one lesson. Merve corrects mistakes, and makes sure that her student understand the information she give. I think she is going to be one of the best teachers in italki soon.

Merve has a very special method in teaching, she teaches each topic gradually and makes sure her students understand the subject and gives enough time to get the explanation for each question. I don't regret choosing Merve as my Turkish because just in 2 I have learned a lot in just 2 lessons and I'm sure I will learn more.

Merve is a very good teacher, although she says that she is not a professional tutor but I see that she knows how to teach like a professional. I enjoyed taking the trial lessons with her and there will be more lessons to book with her for sure.
