I've been teaching for over 9 years and have a Cambridge CELTA qualification. I've also been a Cambridge speaking examiner since 2017. I have a BA degree in philosophy from the University of Kent, UK so I enjoy asking questions and know how to ask good ones! I love speaking about a wide range of topics: from philosophy, science and sci-fi, to animal rights, music or fitness. I'm from London but have travelled all over the world - I moved to Andalucía in 2014, so I picked up Spanish. I also speak Dutch because that's where my mum's family are from, as well as some French. I really love music and I play a few instruments such as handpan and guitar. I love running, crossfit, DJing and painting.我的教學經歷
I've learned a few languages, so I know the difficulties and best techniques, which I hope to share with you! I have a CELTA qualification and over 9 years of English teaching experience to kids and adults. I specialise in specific exam preparation (for example: Cambridge, Trinity, Aptis, etc at every level), Business English (job interviews, preparation for travel, academic English, presentations, etc...) in addition to conversation classes. We can discuss a range of topics, from philosophy, psychology, ethics, veganism and animal rights, to science fiction, futurology or history; you name it - we can talk about it!我的課程內容與教學風格
I keep my classes fun by asking lots of questions, that means you get to practice a lot of speaking! I use the communicative approach as that's the main reason people learn other languages. Because of my experience and studies, I know a lot of grammar and how to explain points and concepts clearly. I always take notes of any emerging vocabulary and any mistakes, so that you don't need to and can focus on expressing yourself. I use Google docs so that we can work collaboratively during the class. I also give homework every lesson, it might be a little - it might be a lot; the key rule is that it's fun and that you do something in English :)我的教材

Teacher / Head of StudiesI set up the school with my boss in 2014 and have been an English teacher, being promoted to Head of Studies in 2015 and now managing 3 other teachers. I manage course and syllabus design as well as teaching lessons in person and online.
2020 - 2023
English Language SpecialistI've been an online English teacher with italki.com and with private students since 2020 building on my previous experience. On my website you can see my other professional services (translation, proofreading, voiceover, etc) and find other projects I've been involved with (www.finnenglish.com) and I also teach music, the handpan in particular.
2017 - 2023
Speaking examinerI've been a Cambridge speaking examiner since 2017 (B1 PET and B2 FCE) in Córdoba and since 2021 I've been an examiner here in the Cádiz province (A2 KET, B1 PET, B2 FCE, C1 CAE and C2 CPE).

Finn is such a good teacher. His lessons are really fun! Not all teachers crack jokes(bad ones tbh 🤣) in class and he always make it enjoyable!
He makes me feel like I am spending time with a friend so I do not feel nervous when talking in English.
He is so patient and he always helps you with whatever you need.
I have to say that since I started taking classes with Finn, I have improved notably my level of English! Always grateful :)

Finn is very careful and thoughtful preparing the lessons and makes you feel really comfortable. I am preparing for the CAE exam and he is very helpful and supportive. He gives you advices, a wide range of examples and exercises about what you are working on and corrects you when you make mistakes. With Finn you have the opportunity to boost your english skills and to enjoy doing it.

Finn is a great teacher! I’ve never felt boring on his lessons - so many interesting themes to talk about, ways to train rules, achieve my goals. Very attentive: I asked to notice my mistakes in speaking and he noticed them in a document without any breake in conversation. When I had a problem in Amsterdam with Dutch accent Finn prepared for me special lesson to help. It’s a big luck to find such teacher 🙂

Finn is amazing.
From the start he has totally grasped what my goals are and fills the sessions with exactly the amount of various different kind of exercises.
During the classes helped with the well provided content, I have a nice time expressing myself while studying.
Tonight was unquestionably the highest point with an incredible and interesting conversation on a whole range of subjects starting with education.
Look forward to studying with you next year (sadly).
